A police cruiser’s dash camera caught a train smashing into a trapped van in Brook Park, Ohio.

Richard Boga, 47, of Elyria is lucky to be alive after he was moved out of harm’s way, according to WKYC-TV on Wednesday.

Boga, who was driving an AT&T van, got his front tire stuck in the rail. He was standing outside the van when officer Harold Duncan saw him.

Duncan got out of the vehicle, as the footage shows, and ran over to Boga, telling him to get out of the way.

Then, 20 seconds later, a Norfolk Southern train smashed into the van.

Police said the van skirted a railroad gate and got stuck in the tracks, 10TV reported.

The van’s driver was cited for failing to heed crossing lights.
