Conor McGregor shook up the Twitter world Tuesday when the 27-year-old UFC champion announced his retirement at the height of his career.
He may be looking to shake up the internet again, based on a tweet Wednesday that he allegedly deleted, just seconds after posting it, according to numerous twitter users. Here is a tweet with a screenshot of McGregor’s alleged tweet:

McGregor was scheduled to fight Nate Diaz—who beat McGregor in March—at UFC 200 in July, but UFC’s Dana White said McGregor has been pulled from the event due to the Irishman’s unwillingness to fly to Las Vegas and participate in mandatory promotional activities.
“We pulled Conor McGregor from UFC 200 and we’re working on other fights right now,” White said Tuesday on ESPN’s Sportscenter, just hours after McGregor’s shocking retirement tweet. “Conor did not want to come to Las Vegas and film the commercial and be a part of the marketing. He’s in Iceland training.
“Is Conor retiring? Only he can answer that question. I don’t know.”

White appeared on Colin Cowherd’s “The Herd” Wednesday and shot down rumors that McGregor’s retirement was about him being unhappy with his upcoming payday for UFC 200.
“[It’s] not a money issue. That’s false,” White said. “That’s the problem with the Internet. You have all these hacks out there who just make stuff up for clicks. Never, ever was this about money. It was never about money. Conor makes a lot of money, and Conor’s very happy about the money he makes. Conor for the most part is a stand-up guy. He’s never come back after agreeing on a deal, and the fight is announced, and he comes back for more money. Conor is not that type of person.”

Meanwhile, McGregor’s featherweight title will soon be in jeopardy if he doesn’t return to the ring soon. “That’s the thing, Conor needs to clear up this whole retirement thing and clear it up fast,” White said. “If he’s retired, then UFC 200, Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar are fighting for the vacant title.”
