The Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut was placed on lockdown after a police officer-involved shooting that left one person dead.
The incident unfolded in the casino’s parking garage, Connecticut State Police said in a statement.
An unidentified person was confronted in the parking garage at the Fox Tower hotel near the casino and was shot by Mashauntucket Pequot Tribal Police on Tuesday, Connecticut State Police said, the New York Daily News reported.
According to NBC Connecticut, a police spokesperson said the person who was shot had an outstanding warrant. The person brandished a weapon and shots were fired.
