Comcast customers across the United Stated reported internet and cable outages on Monday, Feb. 15.
The downdetector.com outage map shows bright red and yellow spots indicating where outages are occurring across the United States, including in major cities like Chicago, Seattle, Denver, Houston, Portland, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Washington, and Minneapolis.
A representative with the TV and Internet provider confirmed the outages on Monday.
“We’re continuing to investigate what appears to be a temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services this morning,” Michelle Gilbert, vice president of public relations, told the Detroit News. “Our engineers have been working on this and services are starting to be restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers.”
Downdetector.com said the outage has been sporadic, adding that it had arisen at around 8 a.m. PST.
Most people are reporting Internet outages, with 55 percent saying they’ve got connectivity problems. Another 24 percent of people have said their TV service is out, and another 20 percent of customers are saying that both their TV and Internet are out.
