NEW YORK—A chemical leak at the Coca-Cola plant in Queens, New York, was cleaned up by the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Thursday morning.

A FDNY representative said they took in one person, who was released soon after with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The chemical leak was ammonia, and the NYPD was called in to help clean it up with HAZMAT suits. According to the FDNY representative, “hazmat always rolls out on something like that.”

The leak was “closed out pretty quick,” he said.
