A CNN reporter recently made a very public departure after getting the axe by making a video of herself leaving the media station’s office.

“I‘d like to say ’Thank you CNN,' for everything. Thank you to my dear friends here, to one of the best bureaus in the world,” said Lisa Desjardins, former CNN reporter.

“Of course I’m sorry that CNN has decided to eliminate my reporter position on The Hill, and cut back on congressional coverage, of course I’m also sorry that congress is such a complete mess right now, but maybe that means we should watch them more closely,” Desjardins continued.

CNN is said to be making major cut backs.

As she says this into a microphone that she’s holding with one hand, Desjardins is shown clearing out the cabinets with office supplies and stuffing pencils and notebooks into her purse.

Desjardins was one of the many who got the pink slip, but she was the only one who publicly let her opinions be known about the media company where she has worked for over nine years.

“I hand in my badge with very few regrets, but one of them is that there are far too few redheads on CNN, and for that, I am sorry to my fellow gingers, I have failed you,” Desjardins said.
