A cliff collapsed in France’s Normandy last week, sending an estimated 30,000 tons of rock onto the beach.
The collapse took place at the St. Jouin Bruneval beach in Normandy, located in the northern part of the country.
There were no injuries or deaths in the incident, which according to The Local, took place near the city of Le Havre.
The collapse of the erosion-weathered cliff was captured by an eyewitness.
Francois Auber, the mayor of the nearby town of Saint-Jouin-Bruneval, had to issue warnings when the cliff started to look unstable.
A security cordon was set up around the area but people still came to watch the cliff collapse.
The video footage was passed along to the French BFMTV channel.
