SAN FRANCISCO—The world-renowned Shen Yun Performing Arts completed its eighth performance at San Francisco War Memorial Opera House on the evening of Jan. 11. In the audience was Ms. Li who comes from the Northeast of China.
She said the performance was very beautiful and authentic and that she loves traditional classical Chinese dance.
She said that during the performance, she recalled a high school classmate who had been the best student in her class. The classmate went on to study at a university in Beijing, but later lost her job and was sent to prison due to the communist regime’s unjust persecution of Falun Dafa.
Before Ms. Li came to the United States, this classmate visited her and explained how Falun Dafa follows the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. She told her that the Chinese communist regime has spread defamatory lies about the practice since 1999, when the persecution began.
Ms. Li said that this classmate looks just the same as she did more than a decade ago—time has left no trace on her face. Ms. Li was also quite amazed and impressed by her friend’s peaceful attitude. Her friend didn’t blame or resent anyone for her experience in prison.
After seeing the Shen Yun performance, Ms. Li said she now realizes the great compassion and tolerance that Falun Dafa practitioners have, and how they can be so devoted to these principles.
Shen Yun and Falun Dafa practitioners show the world the truth, she said. She admires them from the bottom of her heart. She was very touched.
