ANYANG, South Korea—After Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company’s 2012 premiere in Anyang wrapped up on Saturday afternoon, March 3, a Chinese student, Ms. Zhang who has studied in South Korea for two years, spoke highly of the performance, saying: “[Shen Yun] was overwhelming and powerful. ... I especially appreciate the great compassion and true beauty demonstrated in the show. ... After seeing the show, I felt that the natural disasters nowadays are not accidental. It might be due to the decline in human morality. In ancient times, the morality was much better.”
Ms. Zhang attended the show with a friend. She looked very quiet, but when it came to talking about the Shen Yun performance, she was quite eloquent.
Deeply impressed by the entire show, she said: “I felt it was quite overwhelming and vivid, in terms of the overall performance. I also felt that this kind of beauty is especially magnificent.”
“I especially appreciate the beauty with great compassion and simplicity. I am pleased to have this opportunity to see this show, and hope that I am able to see it again in the future,” she added.
Especially touched by the program that depicts the present-day persecution of the traditional spiritual discipline, Falun Gong, in China, she commented: “I like this program mainly because it revealed the truth, so as to let more people understand the real situation. In China, many people are not clear about the real situation of Falun Gong, as they can only know it from the reports in the media in China. I hope that more people are able to get more insight into Falun Gong, and know that Falun Gong is good,” Ms. Zhang said.
