WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—“I thought it was great,” Mr. Jennings said of the April 29 Shen Yun Performance at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

His friends Pia and Stephen Norris had told him about the performance. They love Shen Yun and have been patrons of it for years, he said. “We were happy to come with them.”

“It was visually stimulating, great storyline,” said Mr. Jennings, CEO of an aircraft company. “The choreography was wonderful—and the set design.” He said he loved “the video, and the way it ties into real life.”

Shen Yun’s unique animated digital backdrops extend the stage, transporting the audience to distant times and exotic places. The backdrops are synchronized with every aspect of the performance, including the costumes, dancers, music, sound effects, and stories told through dance.

The aim of the company is to revitalize 5,000 years of divinely inspired Chinese civilization.

Serenity

Mr. Jennings’ wife Lauren, who’s expecting a baby, said, “I think it’s great! I’m enjoying it! The baby likes the music!”

“I’ve been hearing about it for years,” Mr. Jennings said. “So it’s nice it was in our town where we could see it.”

Speaking of the spiritual aspect of the performance, he said, “I like it—the non-violence and the serenity.”
