Jeff Gaspin has been named to take his place. Kelly Clarkson’s New Single A Beyonce Rip?
Some have noticed that singer Kelly Clarkson’s new single, “Already Gone,” sounds a lot like Beyonce’s song, “Halo,” and Clarkson agrees. The American Idol co-wrote the song with Ryan Tedder who also wrote “Halo” and reportedly blames Tedder for using the same backing track on both songs. Clarkson unsuccessfully tried to convince her label not to release the single. The singer recently told CBC News, “No one’s going to be sitting at home thinking, ‘Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyoncé and Kelly the same track to write to,’“ Kelly told Canada’s CBC Radio. ”No they’re just going to be saying I ripped someone off.”
‘Noble Awards’ to Celebrate Celebrity Giving
A new kind of awards show is in the works. The Noble Awards claims to be the “Golden Globes of non-profits.” The upcoming inaugural ceremony will honor the work of select charitable organizations and the celebrities that use their voice to increase visibility for such causes. The Noble Awards are scheduled to take place on October 18th and The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
