“We are working through exactly the way they are going to do that,” Dyer told the New York Times. “The most important thing is to do it right, do it transparently and make sure our funders are comfortable with how we are doing this.”
Authorities are still investigating the motive behind shooter Omar Mateen, 29, who killed 49 people at the Pulse nightclub on Sunday morning.
Attorney General Loretta Lynch said Sunday that a partial transcript of Mateen’s conversations with hostage negotiators during the Orlando massacre---the worst mass shooting in U.S. history and the worst terrorist attack since 9/11---will be released. She made the announcement during several appearances on morning talk shows.
