The California storms are set to continue.

The season’s first major Pacific storms will include a second storm, at least as strong as the first sweeping California, from Monday, Dec. 27 to Wednesday, Dec. 29.

Forecasters said a another storm is set to hit California on Friday, Christmas Eve, according to The Sacramento Bee.

Meteorologists predicted that the week might become one of the state’s top five wettest late-December periods.

On Tuesday, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in several California counties after the powerful storms triggered hailstorms, floods, mudslides, and evacuations.

The state of emergency includes Kern, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, and Tulare counties, according to Los Angeles Times.

On Wednesday, the storm became more severe as the system from the Gulf of Alaska collided with subtropical moisture from the Western Pacific Ocean.
