Busuanga in Palawan Province on Busuanga Island was among the areas hit hard by Typhoon Yolanda, leaving two dead and 21 missing as of Sunday afternoon.

The MDRRMO reports that there are many partially and totally damaged houses and schools in the city.

In a initial estimate, almost 700 households were affected by the typhoon, with almost all electric posts down.

Streets are littered with fallen trees.

The two dead people are: Rufino Cerafino, 38, and Butchoy Amorin, 41. They were both crew members on a fishing boat.

Meanwhile, the airport re-opened on Sunday, and the PDRRMC said it donated 300 sacks of rice to the city.

Information is still scarce on the situation there as of Monday morning.
