NEW YORK—Brookfield Office Properties (BPO) signed leases with eight high-end, quick-service eateries at the future dining terrace at Brookfield Place, formerly known as the World Financial Center, in Lower Manhattan.
The dining terrace is part of a $250 million renovation of Brookfield Place, which encompasses four towers with more than 8 million square feet of office space, the 10-story glass pavilion Winter Garden, as well as extensive waterfront space.
The eateries were handpicked by the developer and focus on chef-driven, speedy-yet-creative cuisine. These casual places should appeal to office workers as well as tourists. The dining terrace is set to open to the public in early 2014. Six more eateries are to be announced in the coming months.
