Models Alessandra Ambrosio, Isabeli Fontana, Adriana Lima, and Raquel Zimmermann talk soccer, Brazilian culture, and local phrases to listen for at this year’s World Cup in São Paulo.
Adriana Lima: “You think about Brazil, you think about soccer, football. I really hope to be on the stadium, hopefully on the ground to feel all the energy of people.”
Isabeli Fontana: “I don’t play soccer, I wish I could. But my son can do it. I have two sons, actually. My older son doesn’t like it, but I forced him because it’s a part of Brazilian culture.”
Alessandra Ambrosio: “I’m planning on being in Brazil for the World Cup. Hopefully I'll watch the Brazil on a finals. I don’t play soccer. In Brazil the tradition is boys play soccer and girls play with fashion.”
Raquel Zimmermann: “I don’t play soccer anymore, but when I was a kid my brother and his friends was always playing it in the garden. So they let me join in the game. But I wasn’t very good in it. I kicked it in a bush and then they got mad and throw me out.”
