Bombardier announced separate sales of up to 52 of its business jets totalling over $1 billion during the Paris Air Show.

The luxury aviation company VistaJet has placed a firm order to Bombardier for 20 units of the Challenger 350 jets, and set options for an additional 20 units. The total transaction for the firm order is valued at around $518 million. If all options are exercised, the total raises to approximately $1.04 billion.

“Having personally participated in the focus groups that led to the Challenger 350 jet’s conception, I am confident that this aircraft will deliver the comfort, technology, and range that our customers rely on when flying with VistaJet,” Thomas Flohr, founder and chairman of VistaJet, said in a press release.

Delivery of the jets to VistaJet will begin in mid-2014.

Montreal-based Bombardier also secured the sale of 12 units of its Global 8000 business jets to an undisclosed customer. The total value of the sale is valued at $804 million.

Last November, VistaJet placed an order for up to 142 Global business jets to Bombardier, including 56 firm orders and options for another 86 units. The value of the order is approximately $3.1 billion considering the firm orders, and raises to $7.8 billion if all options are exercised.

Also this week Bombardier announced that Horizon Air has converted three previously booked options on the Bombardier Q400 NextGen turboprop airliners into firm orders, valued at approximately $98 million. Horizon Air still has options to order seven more Q400 NextGen units.
