Blue Ivy reportedly got a song penned for her by rapper Kanye West.
Ivy, the daughter of Jay-Z and Beyonce, will received the gift for her second birthday, according to the Daily Star UK.
“Kanye wanted to do something personal for his best friend’s baby. So he decided he would write and record a lullaby especially for her,” said a source.
“It won’t be released, it’s just for Blue. He hopes it'll help send her off to sleep at night,” added the source.
“It’s really catchy and slow. Rather than the usual sweet dreams-themed lullaby songs, Kanye raps about how Blue Ivy and [his own daughter] Nori will be mega powerful when they’re older,” the source added. “It also mentions how him and Jay-Z will work hard to make sure their girls have an easier path than they did.”
Last week, Beyonce performed at First Lady Michelle Obama’s birthday party.
A large number of celebrities attended, including Paul McCartney, Samuel L. Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Ashley Judd, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, and others.
The event was “literally a house party that happened to be at the White House,” “Today” show host Al Roker told the “Today” crew, according to the LA Times. “Sasha and Malia had invited a lot of their friends, so there were a lot of young people.”
