The Blue Bloods season 4 finale, set for May 9, involves Danny and Frank stumbling into a big cover-up.
Danny starts off by investigating a case that was off-limits, regarding a woman who jumped to her death off a penthouse in Manhattan.
It turns out she’s connected to some dirty business that goes high up to the NYPD and District Attorney’s office, prompting officials to place Danny on modified duty.
“Danny starts to investigate and keeps hitting brick walls and it unfolds into a bigger thing than anyone had expected that affects all the Reagans,” executive producer Kevin Wade told TVGuide.
Danny passes the tip on the his father Frank, who is alarmed when he learns the enormity of the case and the internal involvement.
Frank seeks help from Inspector General Kelly Peterson.
“It’s become almost a cliche,” Tom Selleck (Frank) told Zap2it, “that people say, ‘Who’s gonna die in the finale?’ Lives are at stake for us here, and I don’t want to give anything away, but this [episode] is very watchable. It’s the culmination of a lot of things, and it does affect relationships, some of them permanently. It’s just a real nice yarn.”
Also in the episode, Jamie and Eddie to try help a Syrian man meet his deportation deadline.
The hit CBS show has already been renewed for a season 5, although a premiere date hasn’t been announced yet.
