A 28-year-old construction worker died on the Budapest set of Denis Villeneuve’s “Blade Runner 2” on Aug. 25, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to Origo Studios, while dismantling one of the sets, an overhead construction platform fell onto the unnamed worker.

“The worker was underneath a platform, upon which the set was constructed, when it suddenly collapsed,” read a statement by Origo Studios. “The cause of the accident is not yet known.”

At the time of the tragic accident, the production team were filming scenes at Korda Studios in the village of Etyek in Hungary, Hungarian news website Index reported. The news of the worker’s death halted filming and an investigation into the death is being conducted.

“Blade Runner 2” stars Jared Leto, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, and returning for the sequel will be star of the original “Blade Runner,” Harrison Ford.

According to Executive Producer Ridley Scott, Ford fell in love with the script.

“I got Harrison [Ford] back,” Scott said, reported THR. “Harrison said, ‘Meh,’ and I said, ‘No, read this.’ And I think he said, ‘This is the best script I’ve ever had.’ We’ve been working on it for a couple of years.”

The septuagenarian actor was injured himself on set while filming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in 2014.

Harrison suffered a broken leg when he was trapped underneath a fast closing metal-framed door on June 12, 2014, while on the set of the Millennium Falcon.

Film production company, Foodles Production (UK) Ltd accepted responsibility in a U.K. court for failing to maintain a safe work environment on the Pinewood Studios set on July 26 of this year.

“Blade Runner 2” is scheduled to be released in October 2017.
