Billy Joel confirmed that he has offered his music to Fox’s hit show Glee.
As an answer to Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson’s question of whether he would get his work aired on Glee, Joel said, “I already have.”
“All I know is I said, ‘Yeah! Go ahead. Use my stuff, I was in a chorus when I was in high school, why not?”
In the last season of the show, Matthew Morrison and Neil Patrick Harris gave a duet performance of the pianist’s signature hit “Piano Man.”
But Joel said he will not appear personally on the show.
“I’m just not a big TV actor type of guy,“ he said. ”I’m a piano player.”
Born in New York City in 1949, the six-time Grammy Award winner scored numerous hits such as “Uptown Girl,” “52nd Street,” and “New York State of Mind.”
