Everything is sugary sweet in the Carters’ household!

Beyonce kicked off her Formation World Tour in Miami on April 27, performing songs from her controversial album “Lemonade.” The album, only five days since its April 23 release date, has led to much speculation that the lyrics in songs, “Sorry,” “Sandcastles,” and “Daddy Lessons” appear to reveal a trying time—marred by infidelity and mistrust—for the singer and her husband, Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter.

On the song “Sorry,” Beyonce sings: “Looking at my watch, he shoulda been home/Today I regret the night I put that ring on,” before ending the song with the most talked about line: “He better call Becky with the good hair.” Fans have accused singer Rita Ora and fashion designer, Rachel Roy as the ‘Becky’ referenced in the song—claims both have denied.

“I never usually address tabloid gossip rumors but let me be clear, these rumours are false,” tweeted Ora. “I have nothing but the utmost respect for Beyonce. Let’s continue enjoying Lemonade.”

In another song, “Sandcastles,” the 34-year-old singer sings: “And your heart is broken cause I walked away/Show me your scars and I won’t walk away.”

But whoever the lyrics are about—apparently, not father Matthew Knowles—is unimportant as Beyonce dedicated her 2008 ballad, “Halo” to her husband.

“I want to dedicate this song to my family, thank you guys for supporting me,” she said to Jay Z, who sat in the audience. “I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful husband, I love you so much.” She also expressed love for daughter Blue Ivy and thanked her fans for their support.

Beyonce also honored legendary musician Prince who passed away on April 21 at age 57.

During a short intermission between sets as Beyonce switched out costumes, the screens onstage became purple lit, in turn leading to a “Purple Rain” singalong from the audience. Throughout the stadium, fans held their cellphones in the air for a moving moment in celebration of the Minneapolis native’s life.

In the final moments of the concert, the “Get Me Bodied” singer said, “Prince, thank you for your beautiful music.”

The two shared a stage at the 2004 Grammy Awards. Revisit that moment below.
