The so-called “Beer Gut Bandit” has robbed four banks this month, according to San Diego police, who released footage of the middle-aged man on Tuesday.
San Diego police say they are looking for the public’s help in capturing the man, who carried out the robberies around San Diego County in July, reported Fox-5.
The man allegedly gave tellers notes demanding the bank tellers give him money, claiming he has a bomb on him.
No bomb was spotted by witnesses. He also asked for specific denotations in cash.
Eyewitnesses have said the man is around 215 pounds, white, around 5 feet 7 to 6 feet tall, and in his mid-50s, according to U-T San Diego.
He has a protruding belly, gray hair, a goatee beard and a mustache, and had a recyclable bag. During the crimes, he wore eyeglasses, reported NBC San Diego.
The FBI told U-T San Diego they believe he robbed a Wells Fargo bank on July 5 and a U.S. Bank on July 16. He also robbed another Wells Fargo and a Bank of America.
