Sports presenter Mike Bushell slipped and fell into a swimming pool during a live television interview on BBC Breakfast.
Bushell was preparing to interview England Commonwealth Games swimmers, Sarah Vasey, Adam Peaty, Siobhan-Marie O’Connor, Ben Proud and James Guy. The athletes were sitting at the edge of a pool on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Just a few moments earlier, he had warned he was “going to be careful” because he had a soundpack.
The swimmers burst into fits of giggles, as the experienced sports host misjudged his step and made a splash.
“All the people here are literally on the floor,” he said, referring to the off-camera crew.
He continued, but the interview was cut short as his equipment appeared to suffer from water damage from the fall.
