The Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman v Superman movie will have hair, marking a shift from many of the iterations of the characters in the past.

An eyewitness confirmed with the Batman on Film blog that Luthor has hair.

But the source added that the color is not bright red as some websites have been speculating.

A source told Batman News earlier this year that Luthor “has a lot of hair”and that the hairstyle is “long, kind of loose and wavy, and dirty blonde.”

The source also said that Jesse Eisenberg’s Luthor has spastic mannerisms, like a 20-something guy that pounds energy drinks all day.

The blog did note that there’s a chance that Luthor shows up bald by the end.

There’s been increased speculation about Luthor being bald again after Eisenberg was spotted in photos from the set with some type of head covering.

IGN claimed that “It’s possible that production is trying to keep his unique style under wraps. It’s also possible that he'll start out with some elaborate hair and eventually go bald during the course of the film. Gene Hackman, who played Luthor in the original Superman movie, had various wigs throughout and was revealed to be bald at the end.”

Meanwhile, the source told Batman on Film that the filming in Detroit has mostly been taking place on a seaside port at night.

“It seems as if The Batmobile has and will be involved,” the source said.

“A chase scene has been filmed that included a lot of stunts. A Batman stunt double was used to film a scene that had Batman standing on the top of a 40+ story crane. Most of this shooting has been stunt double heavy.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for a March 25, 2016 release date.
