The Batman vs Superman movie release is slated for May 6, 2016 according to IMDb, where the film title remains as “Untitled Superman-Batman Project.” Although the title of the film is not yet set, it’s known that it will go head to head at the box office with “Captain America 3,” which will be released on the same day.
The cast for the Batman vs Superman film includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman. The budget for the film is said to be around $131 million, according to CBS.
Warner Bros. recently opened a casting call for extras for the film which will start filming in Michigan in 2014. The extras will be men and women over 18 years old who are “clean-cut military and law enforcement types or business executives in suits,” the website reports.
“Captain America 3” will be directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, while the cast has not yet been released.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Marvel, which is in charge of the Captain America film franchise, does not want to give up the May release date which they set in summer of 2013. Originally, the Man of Steel sequel was slated for July 2015, but Warner Bros. rescheduled, the website wrote.
