“Avengers: Age of Ultron” will get a new actor to the role of The Vision.

“Transcendence” actor Paul Bettany revealed that he will play the Marvel Comics superhero.

On “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Bettany talked about moving from his role as Iron Man’s butler, Jarvis, to playing The Vision.

“Everything’s a double-edged sword, because I was playing Jarvis for years,” he said. “My job was I would turn up at a recording studio for 45 minutes, do all my stuff, they would give me a huge bag of cash and then I'd go home.”

He added: “Now, it turns out they’ve found me out and they want me to actually, you know, do something!”

Bettany also didn’t speak much of The Vision’s powers--even though they’re well-known. The Vision was created in 1940

“He can do all sorts of things, but I’m not allowed to really talk about them and what we’re going to do, because there might be a Marvel agent in the room who will actually wrestle me to the ground and fire me,” he said.

According to Comic Vine, “Vision is an artificial intelligence, a ‘synthezoid’ created by the villain Ultron, and an Avenger who possesses the power to alter his density at will. Having gained a modicum of humanity, Vision is always afraid he may one day lose touch with it.”

The Marvel Comics Wiki also says: “The Vision possesses complete control over his density, and so is able to render himself intangible or extraordinarily massive and diamond-hard at will. He can partially materialize within another person, causing his victim extreme pain. The solar cell on the Vision’s forehead emits beams of infrared and microwave radiation, with temperatures ranging from 500 to 30,000 degrees Fahrenheit.”
