After the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the most recent Marvel classic “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” the plot for the upcoming “Avengers: Age of Ultron” film is getting a lot of attention.
Avengers 2, which will hit theaters on May 1, 2015, is still in being filmed, however. In the sequel, the Avengers will go head to head with super villain Ultron.
Ultron (James Spader) is a robot capable of manifesting himself in three forms. He is said to be close to indestructible, since he has the ability to seek different materials and regenerate himself.
Fans can expect all their favorite avengers in the sequel, including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and others.
Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark, will assemble all the Avengers at his Stark Tower, which he will convert into the Avengers Tower. He will also welcome new team members, namely The Vision, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver.
The Vision/Jarvis (Paul Bettany) is Ultron’s creation. His body organs are many of synthetic materials, and he has a Solar Jewel on his forehead that absorbs ambient solar power to provide him with energy, which he can then shoot out as beams. The Vision can change his body’s density, and can become malleable or diamond-hard. Ultron created The Vision to destroy his own creator Dr. Henry Pym (Ant-Man) along with his wife Janet van Dyne (the Wasp).
Ultron will send The Vision to lead the Avengers into a trap. The Wasp will spot him, and then escapes.
The Vision, was trained by Captain America in unarmed combat, then gets persuaded to join the Avengers in their battle against Ultron. Using brain patterns of Simon Williams (Wonder Man) The Vision recalls how Ultron created him and becomes a part of the Avengers, although he is subconsciously compelled to rebuild Ultron, according to the character description on IMDb.
Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) are twins.
Scarlet Witch or Wanda Maximoff, is a mutant who has the ability to manipulate probability using “hex spheres,” which she uses to light flammable objects. She can also contain or remove air from a certain space, deflect objects and attacks, stop momentum of projectiles, open doors, make objects explode, create force fields, and other powers that harm her opponent.
Although Scarlet Witch had her run as a villain, she and her brother will be part of the Avengers team, as they often assist X-Men, since Magneto is their father.
Quicksilver, or Pietro Maximoff, possess the power of moving and thinking at superhuman speeds. With his speed he can create cyclone-strength winds, run up walls, cross bodies of water. Quicksilver and twin sister Scarlet Witch first appeared in the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, however they get recruited by Iron Man to join the team of Avengers, according to descriptions on IMDb.
