NEW YORK—It was 50 years ago that Audrey Hepburn made Hollywood history as Holly Golightly in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” To celebrate the iconic film’s big anniversary, Hepburn look-a-likes gathered at Nino’s Restaurant on 73rd Street and First Avenue on Wednesday.
“She’s got style that girl. She’s timeless,” said Becky Vanderway, 25, of New Jersey, bedecked with pearls and a little black dress.
Michelle Monachino, 22, of Westchester, was an olive-skinned version of the long-adored Hepburn. With a lit cigarette at the end of a long, thin holder, big sunglasses, and a tiara atop her head, she introduced herself as Holly Golightly.
She joked that she has only ever dressed up as the classic Hollywood beauty “in the comfort of my own home.”
