Audi again swept the top three spots in qualifying for the 80th Le Mans 24, with Marc Gené in the #3 R18 Ultra lapping in 3:24.078, almost a second quicker than Beôit Tréluyer in the #1 e-tron quattro. The # 2 e-tron with Tom Kristnesen at the wheel came in third at 3:26.038.

Anthony Davidson put the #8 Toyota TS030 into fourth with a lap of 3:26.151 before the car slowed dramatically on track. No word on what went wrong, or whether the car will be back for the final qualifying session.

Nic Leventis in the #21 Straka HPD ARX 03a was the quickest gasoline P1 at 3:29.622.

1.884 separated the top seven P2s; Olivier Pal in the #24 Oak Morgan-Judd was quickest at 3:38.954, leading Nelson Panciatici in the #26 Signatech Nissan.

The #59 Luxury Racing Ferrari leads the #97 Aston Martin and the #74 Corvette in GTE-Pro, with both Corvettes turning much slower times than in Session One Wednesday. One might suspect they are working on race setups, not pole position. Frank Makowiecki in the Ferrari lapped in 3:55.393.

Luxury Racing led in GTE-Am as well, with American Gunnar Jeannette hustling the #58 Ferrari around in 3:59.072.

Cars which really want to fight for class or overall pole positions will wait for the final session when the track will be cooler and the traffic sparser.
