CHIAYI, Taiwan—On the evening of April 4, Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company held its third consecutive sold-out performance at the Chiayi Performing Arts Center. Inviting several colleagues to watch the Shen Yun performance, Mr. Lin Chuan-Lai, chairman of the Social Worker Association of Chiayi City, and his wife, were watching the performance for the third time.
Mr. Lin praised the performance, saying, “Watching a Shen Yun performance is a sheer blessing, sheer enjoyment in life!”
He cheerfully said, “Tonight’s performance is indeed great! It is a top artistic feast with high-tech dynamic backdrops, live music, exquisite dancing, as well as delicate and flowing costumes. Shen Yun has continued its performance in Chiayi for six years, which is a true blessing for the local people. Pure truthfulness, pure compassion and pure beauty have been fully expressed in Shen Yun’s performance.”
Mr. Lin particularly enjoyed How the Monkey King Came to Be and Joyful Little Monks. He explained, “The way of expression in How the Monkey King Came to Be is fantastic! It seems that gods are acting the truth of rewards and retribution for good and evil in the unseen world, in between heaven and earth. Even with skillful Kong Fu, the Monkey King could not run away from the Buddha’s palm. And Joyful Little Monks inspired me to show my good side and live every day with happiness.”
Lin Chuan-Lai said, “Today is the Tomb Sweeping Festival. Family members get together to clear the graveyards of many generations of ancestors. Shen Yun represented the 5,000-year-old civilization, carrying forward the traditional merits into today’s world.”
