Technically, the color is “rose gold,” according to Apple.
On April 19, Apple released an updated MacBook to its stable. The laptop has improved graphics, an extra hour of battery life, and faster flash storage, among other improvements.
The upgrade comes a year after the MacBook computer’s debut.
No one seems to care that the new MacBook will offer 1866MHz modules for faster storage or Intel’s HD Graphics 515 for 25 percent faster graphics performance.
It is Apple’s offering of the rose gold aluminum finish option for the updated MacBook that has everyone chattering.

Previously consumers were only offered the rose gold finish for iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. Rose gold will be the fourth finish option for the MacBook computer, joining gold, silver, and space gray.
“MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it’s our vision for the future of the notebook,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing.
Starting April 19 online and April 20 at authorized retailers, Apple consumers can choose between 1.1 to 1.2 GHz sixth generation dual-core Intel Core M processors for faster storage, starting at $1,299.
If that is not powerful enough for you, a 1.3 GHz dual-core Intel Core m7 processor is available as a “configure-to-order” option.
