A new trailer for The Gifted shows Anne Curtis as Zoe Tuazon.

And Tuazon is obese, a fact that hadn’t previously been publicized.

“Two girls gifted with extremely high IQ endure growing up together as enemies until a new boy in school comes along. Beauty and Brains collide with the arrival of the new Boy,” Viva Films said in the trailer’s description.

The trailer shows Curtis and Cristine Reyes as their characters vie for the attention of Sam Milby, their former school crush.

Reyes is also in a unique get-up, sporting nerdy glasses, buck teeth, and bushy eyebrows.

Curtis previously told ABS-CBN that she couldn’t divulge much about the plot but that the script is quality and funny, and that the movie brings several elements.

About Tuazon, she said: “She’s such a feisty character that I think you will find her super hilarious.”

Curtis also said that its been great working with Gilby and Reyes, as well as director Chris Martinez, whose previous works include the award-winning “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank.”
