Android 4.4 KitKat Updates for Galaxy S4 Active Released

Samsung has rolled out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to the international version of the Galaxy S4 Active, a month after is was rolled out. The update is currently available in the Netherlands, wrote Sam Mobile

The Galaxy S4 Active update was rolled out in the Netherlands on May 27, 2014, but is said to be soon released worldwide. 

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update provides faster performance, white status bar icons, increased battery life, full-screen mode for music album art, camera shortcut on lock screen, support for wireless printing, ability to set default messaging, launcher apps, and more. 

Through leaked documents from Samsung, it can be seen that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is now also available for Galaxy Note II LTE, Galaxy S3 LTE, Galaxy S4 Mini, while other versions of the Samsung phones are pending the updates. 

The documents also revealed that Galaxy models S4 and S5 are in the testing phase of the new Android 4.4.3 update, that’s also rolling out soon, according to Android Pit.
