American Digital Media Use to Surpass TV Time

Americans will spend 4 hours and 31 minutes watching television every day on average this year, according to eMarketer. The average adult American will spend more than 5 hours a day, however, using digital media, with smart phone activities accounting for a large portion of this time. 

Mobile device activity is up about an hour a day on average over last year’s estimates. Digital media consumption overall is up 15.8 percent.
