Future Hall-of-Famer Allen Iverson was known for many things in his career. At 6-foot-even and 165 pounds, “The Answer” was the shortest and lightest player to ever win the NBA’s MVP when he won the prestigious award in 2001. The first overall pick of the 1996 NBA Draft out of Georgetown, Iverson led the Philadelphia 76ers to the 2001 NBA Finals and won four scoring titles.
But he never lived down his now-famous “practice” rant.
“I wish I could take it back. ... Man, I am a Hall of Famer and that’s all you can think about?” Iverson said of his 2002 postgame press conference when he said “practice” about 20 times in two minutes.
