Two mixed-income buildings on the Long Island City waterfront are now taking affordable housing applications.
Hunter’s Point South Commons and Hunter’s Point South Crossing were developed by Related Companies, Phipps Houses, and Monadnock Development.
The buildings have a total of 925 permanently affordable apartments for low to moderate income families.
Studios, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units are available, and the majority and 1- and 2-bedroom units. Both buildings have access to public terraces, fitness centers, tech centers, a roof-top garden, and other amenities.
The income qualifications range from an individual making $18,618 a year to $224,020 annually for a family of six.
Hunter’s Point South Crossing (1-55 Borden Avenue) is a 306-unit is a 32-story building and Hunter’s Point South Commons (1-50 50th Avenue) is a 619-unit 37-story building.
