54 loaded guns at airports: U.S. officials last week discovered 54 loaded guns at airports across the country, it was reported.

In all, 65 firearms were seized at security checkpoints, according to the TSA, which said it was a record haul for a week, reported NBC News.

The agency said that among the seizures was a gun strapped to a prosthetic leg of a male passenger in Utah. He was patted down after a screening, reported NBC. Officers found that the man had a .22 caliber gun inside his boot strapped to his leg.

The Atlanta and Dallas-Fort Worth airports tied with five guns each, reported UPI.

TSA agents also found inert grenades, stun guns, replica firearms, razor blades, and “a lot of sharp pointy things” across the U.S., reported UPI.

Officials also found an unloaded musket at the Orlando International Airport.
