50 Cent made an attempt to explain a ceremonial first pitch a few days ago.

A video of his pitch--which shows him errantly throw the ball--went viral, prompting a number of memes and jokes.

The Queens rapper, born Curtis Jackson, made an attempt to explain himself on Twitter.

“I’m a hustler not a Damn ball player. LMAO,” he wrote.

He also posted the video with the Instagram caption, “If you look close you can see them moving the plate. Lol.”

TMZ later posted a video of 50 Cent throwing strikes before the opening pitch.

“Just before he took the mound at Citi Field and threw a pitch so terrible, even Gary Dell'Abate had to laugh at it ... 50 was warming up the bullpen and displayed some pretty decent accuracy,” the website states. It adds: “Sure, he could use some work on his mechanics ... but it’s not really that terrible.”

On Friday, 50 Cent also talked to “Good Morning America” about it.

“I’m not a professional pitcher,” he said, according to the New York Daily News. “I make music.”

However, he said the pitch got him out of trouble recently when a New York City Police Officer pulled him over.

“Then he said, ‘You know, that pitch was terrible,’” he added. “He didn’t give me a ticket, no nothing. He said, ‘I don’t want to mess up your day because you made me laugh.’”
