The Top Five matches that should take place before WrestleMania 31: #4
John Cena is one of the biggest stars in the history of the WWE, he has achieved every major feat that there is in WWE. Now John Cena is on a mission of sorts. His goal is to make sure that the WWE’s future is in good hands when he finally decides to hang it up. John Cena has said that if the young guy’s in the locker room want a shot at the top, there gonna have to go through him first. Right now John Cena is in a rivalry with one of those young upstarts (Bray Wyatt), but when that rivalry is done there is another match with a young wrestler that is bound to happen; Roman Reigns vs John Cena.
Roman Reigns is the juggernaut of the group known as The Shield. As a part of The Shield Roman Reigns and his partners (Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) have dominated every opponent that has stood in there way since they bursted onto the seen in WWE. Right now Reigns and The Shield are involved in a rivalry with one of the most dominant groups that the WWE has ever seen Evolution. This rivalry is becoming one of the best in the WWE, but when it’s over (in my opinion) The Shield will not separate, but each member will do there own thing ,while remaining as a group.
Despite being in a group, Roman Reigns has already had his fair share of individual accomplishments in the WWE. At Survivor Series this past year Reigns eliminated four of his teams five opponents in a tradition Survivor Series match (which is a record). Reigns also broke the record for most men eliminated in this years Royal Rumble match, with twelve eliminations. There is no denying that one day Roman Reigns will be a big star, but it looks like if he wants to do that he’s going to have to go through John Cena first.
Roman Reigns vs John Cena could potentially be huge. It’s easy to see that Roman Reigns has all the tools to one day be, one of the top stars, if not the top star in the WWE. John Cena right now is one of the top stars in the WWE, and is arguably the greatest stars to ever step foot in a WWE ring. A match between Cena and Reigns could be billed as the present vs the future. The match could come about by John Cena throwing out a challenge to anyone in the back, and then Roman Reigns accepting. The Shield would not be a factor in this match since they have turned babyface, so it would be just be Reigns and Cena. If this match were to happen Summer Slam or The Royal Rumble would be good choices.
If it were to happen at Summer Slam, the match could be to determine the number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. In my opinion though the Royal Rumble could be a better venue. The reason being they could make the match for an entrance into the Royal Rumble. The match could be, the loser is the number one entrance, and the winner the number 25 or number 30 entrance. Weather this match takes place at Summer Slam, The Royal Rumble , or any other venue, Roman Reigns vs John Cena is a match this bound to happen, and when it does it should be a great match for WWE fans to see.
