The 33rd annual Orange County Senior Games will kick off Sept. 7, the office of County Executive Steven Neuhaus announced Aug. 18. The Senior Games are presented by the Orange County Department of Parks and the Office for the Aging.
The games run from Sept. 7-18, and include competitions, contests, museum tours, and social activities for people age 55 and older. Food and refreshments are included with most events. Olympic-style medallions will be awarded to competition winners in age categories 55-59, 60-64, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 85 and over.
“The Orange County Senior Games provide a wonderful opportunity for older adults to be active and have fun,” Neuhaus said in a press release.
The registration fee is $10, with a few events requiring an additional fee.
