3-year-old Tsarnaev daughter: The New York Daily News received some criticism for snapping photos of the 3-year-old daughter of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing last week.
The Daily News and the New York Post took photos of the child, Zahara, playing outside with the child’s grandmother at their home in Rhode Island.
The Daily News blocked out the child’s face while the Post left it normal.
The Stir blog described the photographs as “ so ... wrong.”
It added, “Zahara has become news by way of her notorious father -- and she'll have to live with this forever. Her name will forever be associated with his. We have no idea how that might affect her in the future.”
“So even though the Daily News blotted out her face, it’s till wrong to drag a toddler into this media mess. There’s no reason for photographers to be stalking her from the bushes. If her face ever gets out there, it'll be on the Interwebs for all time,” the blog continues.
The mother of he child, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, who was Tamerlan’s wife, reportedly agreed to cooperate with an investigation into her husband.
