Last year, pickup truck sales continued strong throughout the industry, and Ford led with 909,000 units sold. Ford has led the industry for the last 41 years. That a significantly lead over the second place Chevrolet Silverado, at 320,000 units sold.

The Ford F-150 can be ordered with 6 engine choices. The 3.5L EcoBoost V6 in the Limited trim boasts a best-in-class 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with a SelectShift manual mode. Torque is readily available across the speed range for instant acceleration and tremendous performance. Capable of hauling over 2,300 pounds and towing over 10,000 pounds, this truck is especially suited for industrial-strength heavy duty. Fuel economy for this engine in a 4x4 drive configuration is 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway for a combined 19 mpg average.

Power running boards are easy to operate, making it easy to enter the cab regardless of individual height.

Leather-trimmed, heated and ventilated 10-way power-adjustable front bucket seats are complemented by heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and center console. All these features add to an ideal functioning cab.

60/40 flip-up split rear bench seat with dual climate control add to a comfortable environment.

The 8.1-inch center stack touchscreen places communication and entertainment within easy reach. Honestly the screen appeared a little too small for me. I would have preferred a 10-inch screen that is affiliated with an upgraded trim.

As the name would suggest, it adds some hardware for towing.
