The highly anticipated “2010 MTV Movie Awards,” hosted by well-known comedian and Twilight fan Aziz Ansari from “Human Giant,” will air live Sun., June 6 at 9PM ET. In a few earlier statements, Ansari said that he was very glad for this “exciting opportunity was able to come” and that his parents are “wishing him good luck” for this event.

The nominees were announced on May 12, and the winners are voted by the public on MTV´s official website.

Since both James Cameron´s Titanic and the first film in the Twilight Saga film series received the award in 1998 and 2009 respectively, the competition between the two was expected to be fierce.
One of Emma Watson from “Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince”, Amanda Seyfried from “Dear John”, Sandra Bullock from “the Blind Side”, Kristen Steward from “New Moon” and Zoe Saldana from “Avatar” will receive the award for Best Female Performance.
If both New Moon and Kristen Steward make it this time, it will be the second time for this 20-year-old actress to receive more than one award at the MTV Movies Awards, after she did it with Twilight two years ago by winning the Best Female Performance, the Best Kiss and the Best Movie.
