Two hundred patients and health care workers at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin were tested for the coronavirus after a doctor tested positive, authorities said.
The Epoch Times refers to the novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, as the CCP virus because the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mismanagement allowed the virus to spread throughout China and create a global pandemic.
So far, 10 patients and 190 health care workers are being tested, officials told the paper. Twenty-eight patients who were exposed to the doctor have been contacted about the test and will be tested, a spokesperson said.
“This is a tremendous amount of work—we had a team working on it 36 hours straight,” the spokesman said, according to the Tribune.
Gov. Tony Evers ordered a statewide ban on all gatherings of more than 10 people, closing down restaurants and bars except for delivery and pickup services.
Across the country, schools, bars, restaurants, colleges, and other nonessential businesses have been shut down following recommendations provided by federal officials. President Donald Trump on Monday urged Americans to avoid groups of 10 or more people.
