Footage has surfaced online of a baby girl of 16 months of age swimming in a swimming pool completely unaided and with a proficiency that most adults would be proud of.
The baby, who is still too young to string a series of words together, moves through the water with consummate ease and is clearly at home in the pool as her mother encourages her from off screen. The tiny girl swims facing downward, using her legs and arms to propel her through the water, before rolling onto her back to catch a breath of air and then continuing to paddle face down for a few seconds until she reaches the safety of the pool’s edge.
