Passenger Bhagyesh Shah stated that he boarded a train to Secaucus, saying he stood by the back of the train. “The next thing I know, we are plowing through the platform,” Shah said. “It was for a couple seconds, but it felt like an eternity.”
The PATH Train service said the incident took place at the NJ Transit, “not PATH’s station.” The entrance connecting NJ Transit to PATH is currently closed.
PATH also confirmed that there is “no service into/out of PATH’s Hoboken Station” and PATH service from Journal Square to 33rd Street and Newark to World Trade Center is running.
