10-year-old found alive: A 10-year-old girl went missing from her home in Northridge, Calif., Tuesday night, and was found Wednesday afternoon, bruised, cut, and in different clothes.
A 10-year-old girl who went missing from her home in the middle of the night in Northridge, Calif., was found Wednesday, half a day later and about 6 miles from her home.
Police are searching for two suspects in her abduction, one of whom is an 18-year-old male.
The girl was taken to a vacant house near her home, as well as a school, and a storage facility, reports broadcaster KTLA.
Her mother told police she had seen the girl in bed at about 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, but the girl was missing as of 3:30 a.m. Police told the L.A. Times the girl had no behavioral issues that would lead them to believe she ran away.

She was bruised and cut, and wearing different clothes than when she went missing, when she was found at a Goodwill store in Northridge. Police believe she was dropped off at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital and wandered to the store, according to KTLA.
“She basically is in shock right now,” Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Kris Pitcher told the L.A. Times.
“I’ve got a young lady that was abducted. I don’t know the reason,” Hayes said.
A black pick-up truck has been recovered and is being investigated. No further details have been released about the suspects; police are unsure of their connection to the victim.
Neighbors surrounding the vacant home where the girl was taken told KTLA that no one has been in that house lately. One neighbor parks his car in the driveway daily to make it look less abandoned, and another who walks his dog past the house regularly and has not seen any signs of anyone within.
