Actor Corey Feldman alleged in a new interview that pedophilia remains the “number one secret” in Hollywood.
Former and current actresses have recently exposed a string of sexual harassment incidents, along with women outside of Hollywood. But Feldman says he believes molestation remains an epidemic.
Feldman recently created a television film documenting his relationship with late friend and colleague Corey Haim. Feldman is best known for his work as a child actor, appearing in films in the 1980s including The Goonies, The Lost Boys, and Stand By Me.
Feldman said he was 15 when he was corrupted by an adult who introduced him to adult activities such as drugs and nightlife. He said he’s noticed many child actors have such adults influencing them.
He revealed his own predator during an appearance on the Dr. Oz show in November.
Feldman said he made a promise to Haim before Haim died that he would expose predators working in Hollywood.
“The only thing left is he wants people to know who the assailant was, and I hope to God that one day that story can be told, too.”
Feldman has recently called out for those who witnessed incidents in Hollywood to come forward, in addition to those who suffered abuse.
“There are producers that know about things that happened on their sets, or agents who know things about their clients, and actresses and actors themselves—it’s time to use our voices.”
