6 Taco Vendors Robbed At Gunpoint in Los Angeles Crime Spree

Authorities were looking for several men on Aug. 17 who robbed six taco vendors at gunpoint the night before.

The crimes occurred between 9:40 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 16 at various locations within the Hollywood, Rampart, Northeast, and Central Divisions, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The locations targeted include the 5900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and the 6200 block of Hollywood Boulevard, the 300 block of South Bixel Street and the 600 block of South Union Avenue, the 1500 block of North Alvarado Boulevard and the 900 block of South Broadway.

According to police, there were two to four suspects involved in the crimes, described only as men in their mid-20s to early 30s who wore dark clothing.

“During each incident, the suspects approached the victims, displayed a handgun, demanded money and made their escape in a white sedan,” police said.

It was not known if the suspects were involved in other recent similar crimes.
